JR Miller Enterprises was founded in 1989 by John R. Miller, whose vision and operational expertise can be seen throughout its many diverse holdings in real estate, private enterprise, and agriculture. In 2009, John retired as the CEO of National Beef Packing Company. During his tenure, John grew the Company through strategic partnerships and asset acquisitions beginning in 1991. As CEO, he grew National Beef from $500 million in sales to over $7 billion in sales with 8,000 employees from its headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri.

John has been recognized in Forbes magazine, Fortune Magazine, and numerous food industry articles over the years due to his leadership, operating expertise, and track record for turning around and building successful businesses.

John’s business philosophy through JR Miller Enterprises has been built on having experienced investors, highly successful business builders and strategic partners who understand the value of stable and patient capital. One of JR Miller Enterprises fundamental focuses is on identifying key business metrics that can measure and move results.

John has extensive experience in real estate, he is one of the original founders, and major shareholders, of Wasatch Commercial and Wasatch Premier Properties. The portfolio today is comprised of more than 10,000 apartment units and several million square feet of office space across the western states and includes numerous commercial buildings including the company’s corporate headquarters, the Wells Fargo Center, a premier class A office tower located in Salt Lake City, Utah

John was one of the founding General Partner and serves on the investment committee of Woodbury Strategic Partners (WSP), a cash flow focused commercial real estate investment fund. WSP acquired and developed over $500 million of real estate assets between 2010-2014. John is now investing through his second real estate fund, Dakota Pacific Real Estate Partners.

John is also a founding partner of Solamere Capital, a private equity fund headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts consisting of an exciting network of industry leaders focused on private equity opportunities.

John served as one of Mitt Romney’s National Finance Chair’s during his presidential candidacy where he helped develop a network of national business leaders, entrepreneurs, and influential political thought leaders.
